Reliance Jio launched nationwide voice and video calling over Wi-Fi to provide a superior product and experience to its consumers on January 08, 2020. Jio has been testing this service for the past few months, so that every customer can be given a great experience at the time of launch.

Highlights of Jio Wi-Fi Calling

• Customers can use any Wi-Fi network for Jio Wi-Fi calling.

• Voice and video calls can be seamlessly switched-over between VoLTE and Wi-Fi. This will improve calling experiences.

• Jio Wi-Fi calling will work on the larger handset ecosystem.

• Jio customers will also be able to do video calling over Wi-Fi calls and all this at no extra cost.

On the occasion, Aakash Ambani, Director Jio said that at Jio, we are constantly doing new experiments to enhance customer experience or solve their problems. At a time when the average Jio consumer makes more than 900 minutes of voice calls each month, and the subscriber base is steadily growing, the introduction of Jio Wi-Fi calling will further enhance the voice-calling experience of every Jio consumer. Which is already a benchmark for the industry with the first VoLTE network in India.
