HIGHLIGHTS: If you are taking a new vehicle, then there is no problem in its registration, but when you are buying or selling an old vehicle, you have a lot of difficulty in transferring its registration. You can avoid these problems and transfer online vehicle registration.

Due to Corona, the old vehicle market is continuously growing. Be it bikes or cars, they are being sold and sold on different platforms. If you are taking a new vehicle, then there is no problem in its registration, but when you are buying or selling an old vehicle, you have a lot of difficulty in transferring its registration. You can avoid these problems and transfer online vehicle registration.

RC Transfer is mandatory

There are many platforms where buyers and sellers are selling and buying vehicles without a dealer. While buying an old vehicle, the most important registration certificate (RC) is the Transfer of Owner. It is often seen that those who are selling vehicles sell their car or bike without having to transfer the RC.

This only hurts them because if the person to whom they sell the vehicle becomes the victim of accident, the challan of the vehicle is deducted, then all of this will be torn against you. In such a situation, RC transfer becomes very important.

RTO application required for RC Transfer

It is known that after 14 days of selling a car, it is mandatory to have its RC transfer. For this, you have to apply to the RTO of your area. RC transfer has to be applied to the RTO, within 30 days of which the RC is transferred and sent as a smart card to the buyer's address.

Often, such cases continue to come up in which even after 30 days, the RC is not issued. In such a situation, the buyer can check his RC status at home.

Check status at home in the following way:

  • Here, going to 'Online Services', clicking on 'Vehicle related services' and choosing your state.
  • After that, click on 'Know Your Application', enter the application number and the status of your application will open in front of you.
